Elisabeth Schäfer

Elisabeth Schäfer is affiliated to the Department of Philosophy at the University of Vienna, where she teaches since 2010, and the University of Applied Arts Vienna. Her main research and teaching areas include: Deconstruction, Queer-Feminist Philosophy, Écriture feminine (Trans*Writing), thinking the body, Performance Philosophy.
From 2014-2017 she holds a Postdoc position in the research project “Artist Philosophers. Philosophy AS Arts-Based research” sponsored by the Austrian Science Funds FWF [AR 275-G21] at the University of Applied Arts, Vienna, Principle Investigator: Arno Böhler.
Her current research project is: „Trans*Writing. Immanence and Transformation. Towards a Political, Ethical and Aesthetical Theory of Writing as Artistic Research“ (submitted as Elise Richter PEEK / Austrian Science Funds FWF / [V635]).
